PROJECT 03
Governing the Datafied Environment
This project focuses on the nexus between two urban-tech policy discourses: sustainable development and smart city. That "data is the new oil" has been hailed as a new mantra of the smart energy industry, predicated on the assumption that datafication of environment enables a cleaner and more sustainable development than the previous ones. That the "Smart eco-cities" design is an alternative solution to the environmental problems is the main thesis the project is going to problematize and evaluate.
